The Spanish Paula Badosa, World Cup number, exceeded the first round of the Doha WTA 1,000 tournament by beating the Mexican Renata Zarazúa, 68 of the ranking and repeat from the previous phase, in three sleeves, 6-4, 4- 4- 6 and 6-2 in an hour and 47 minutes.
Badosa, a semifinalist at the Australian Open and has just fallen into the first round of Abu Dhabi, suffered to start with triumph in the Catarí capital before a player who has covered the decline due to the injury of the Czech Katerina Siniakova.
In the sixteenth final, Paula Badosa, ninth head of the series in Doha, will face the American Amanda Anisimova, executioner on Sunday in two sleeves of the Belarusian Victoria Azarenka.
