New wave of bad weather in Italy: here are the regions at risk of alert
The Civil Protection has just proclaimed the status of alert for 6 Italian regions, which will be put to the test for tomorrow, May 14, 2024. In fact, many storms are expected whose risks could be not entirely indifferent.

Weather alert: the weather alert is triggered for May 14, 2024
This little glimpse of summer that we have experienced in recent days is about to say goodbye to us, as the bad weather is ready to make its entry into our everyday life. In fact, it seems that starting from tomorrow 14 May 2024 many regions will be affected by some disturbances which will flow especially into the Centre-North of our peninsula.
Bad weather will therefore see the presence of some anomalies of cyclonic origin which will pour in the form of rain and thunderstorms in various Italian regions. Precisely for this reason the Civil Protection decided to trigger theweather alert in order to avoid unforeseen events and misfortunes related to the climate.
The rains will therefore accompany us for the next few days, even if their intensity will be variable. There will also be no major discrimination regarding the position of the regions, as Northern and Southern Italy will be equally affected by the phenomenon.
6 regions at risk for strong storms: the list
Although the bad weather will affect many Italian regions, some of these will be more severe risk of others. At the moment the Civil Protection would have identified 6 regions for which it was necessary to trigger the yellow alert status.
Let’s talk about Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Abruzzo, Umbria and Molise. For what concern Piedmont The yellow alert was triggered especially in the northern plain and in all the surrounding municipalities. With regard to AbruzzoHowever, the places in the Alto Sangro Basin and all adjacent areas are extremely monitored.
No less interesting is the areaEmilia Romagna, which sees the state of alert in every municipality and province. In Lombardy the critical issues were observed in the Varesine Lakes and Prealps area, in the western and central-western plains and at the Milan Hydraulic Hub.
The list ends with Molise with the municipalities of Sangrio, Alto Volturno, Litoranea and finally Umbria with the towns of Topino, Nera, Corno, Chiasso and Alto Tevere. All these regions are at risk of thunderstorms, but Piedmont and Abruzzo will also have to respect the warning for hydrogeological risk.
