In an avalanche in Austria, three ski tourers were buried. At least one of them died. Helicopters, mountain rescue and the Red Cross are currently in action.
Tweng – In Austria, an avalanche has hit three ski tourers. According to the police, one of the three missing people could only be recovered dead. The second person buried was resuscitated and taken to hospital. There is currently no trace of the third ski tourer.
According to dpa, the accident occurred on Saturday (December 4th) on the Lackenspitze near Tweng in Salzburg’s Lungau. The rescued person, who had to be resuscitated, was flown to the Klagenfurt hospital by helicopter, the head of operations of the Red Cross, Anton Schilcher, said Salzburg news.
