After years of development, finally Autopsy Simulator is available on Steam. You can purchase it for €24.99, if you can’t wait to play the role of a medical examiner with a tormented past who must analyze and dissect the corpses that are brought to him in the morgue.
The software house Woodland Games wanted to specify that all cases in the game are inspired by real cases and that to reconstruct the procedures and instruments of the 1990s, the period in which the game is set, real anatomopathologists and medical examiners were contacted.
The launch trailer
Fortunately the figure of the protagonist is completely imaginary, seen his addiction to psychotropic drugs and his decidedly stormy past, which we will discover more about during the adventure.
Yes, because Autopsy Simulator is also a game with a very strong narrative side, as you can read in our review, which will keep you glued to the screen with a horror-tinged story. For the rest, let’s see the launch trailer, which shows us various game sequences, focusing in particular on autopsies, the fulcrum of the entire adventure.
For now Autopsy Simulator is only available on PC. We’ll see if if successful it will also arrive on other platforms. A few hours after its release it was thirteenth in the Steam global ranking, a sign of good initial sales, considering that we are certainly not talking about a gigantic production.
The initial maximum peak has already exceeded 1,000 players and is destined to grow in the next few hours, we will see how much. We also point out that 75% of early reviews on Steam are positivewith complaints mostly centering on the fact that it’s very narrative-focused and not very simulation-focused.
