Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won the hundredth for the fifth time in the World Championships.
Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has won the women’s 100 meters World Championship gold for the fifth time. In Eugene, he led the Jamaicans to a triple victory by running to victory with a race record 10.67.
Fraser-Pryce, 35, has won the women’s 100 at the World Championships in 2009, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2022.
Shericka Jackson ran to silver with a record 10.73. Runner of five Olympic gold medals Elaine Thompson-Herah was third with a time of 10.81.
A day earlier, the US men’s runners took a triple victory in the 100m.
