The explosion of a compressor at a Toyota automobile plant in Borgo Panigale, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Bologna (Italy), has left at least two dead and several injured, some of them seriouslyas reported by the Italian newspaper ‘il Resto del Carlino’.

Toyota Material Handling employs around 850 people and is considered one of the most important companies in the Bologna area. At the time of the incident there were some 300 workerswho were evacuated immediately.
