The Russian armed forces have bombarded residential areas with about ten missiles.

At least 17 people have been killed as a result of Russia’s overnight missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia, as reported by Anatoly Kurtev, mayor of the town through Telegram, reports the Ukrinform news agency.

“As a result of the nightly rocket attack in Zaporizhia, several apartment buildings and some residential streets in the city were damaged. According to preliminary data, five houses were destroyed and about 40 people were injured. At the moment, 17 people are known to have dead,” Kurtev wrote.

The Russian army has bombarded the Ukrainian town of Zaporizhia this morning with ten missiles, in whose municipal area is the main nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

The head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Starukh, reported the attack through social networks where he noted that “the enemy continues to terrorize the city of Zaporizhia. Almost a dozen missiles have hit. The consequences are being established.” .

The interim mayor of the city, Anatoly Kurtev, also reported on social networks that residential buildings were damaged as a result of the missile attack.

“Zaporijia was once again the target of a massive missile launch. Residential buildings were damaged as a result of the enemy attack. A fire broke out,” Kurtev wrote.

The Ukrainian authorities added that “information about the victims is being collected and the relevant services are already working on the site.”
