Rumors and leaks are the daily bread of many fans, especially those who have been waiting for a long time for the arrival of a new game from their favorite saga. Fans of Astro Bot – created by Team ASOBI from PlayStation Studios – they have been waiting for a long time and now they are seeing in a recent developer tweets a hint that something is about to happen.
As you can see in the tweet below, Team ASOBI shared a small GIF from Astro’s Playroom, or the game included with every PS5 that allows you to try out the unique functions of the DualSense controller. This platformer adventure includes many references to the world of PlayStation and video games in general, including the Home icon which – using a more modern term – was a bit like the metaverse of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The fact that Team ASOBI uses the phrase “Honey, I’m home!” however, it has led many to think that this indicates that Astro Bot has “come home” in the sense that he is ready to return to our consoles with a new chapter.
Obviously it’s one speculation and in many situations we would immediately say that it is just a figment of the fans’ imagination, but in this case there is some basis to believe that perhaps this is actually a hint of something new to come.
Astro Bot leaks
In fact, we must know that over the course of the year there have been various leaks regarding the arrival of a new Astro Bot gamescheduled for an unspecified period of 2024.
More recently it was also stated that this new chapter of Team ASOBI’s PlayStation series would be ready to be shown, precisely at the much talked about PlayStation event in May. Of course, May is coming to an end and, even considering the first days of June as valid, Sony should really make a move to reveal this hypothetical event; with each passing day the rumors become less credible.
