The pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca announces the withdrawal of corona vaccines. The approval of the vaccine was withdrawn on May 7th.

The image of the Swedish-British pharmaceutical company suffered, especially in Germany. Around 1.4 million vaccine doses were not used, and at the end of 2021 the vaccine called Vakzevria was no longer delivered to doctors’ practices. Now the manufacturer is pulling the ripcord.

The withdrawal of approval came into effect on May 7th, as the EU Commission published in a letter. This is responsible for the approval and revocation of medications. If a decision is made, it applies to the whole of Europe. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) supports the EU Commission with recommendations.
Are side effects and safety concerns the reason for withdrawing the vaccine?
According to the company, the reason for the withdrawal is due to oversupply. As demand for the vaccine fell, it was no longer manufactured and distributed ARD fact finder was communicated.
According to the company, the withdrawal is not a consequence of the rare harmful side effects and safety concerns of the vaccine. There have been repeated reports of sinus vein thrombosis and associated bleeding in people who have recently been vaccinated.
TTS after vaccination? AstraZeneca admits possible serious side effects
Again The company confessed after a lawsuit, there are actually supposed to be possible serious side effects. “In rare cases it can cause TTS,” quoted The Telegraph the company.
TTS stands for thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome and is a known complication after vaccination with Sars-CoV-2 vaccines. Symptoms may include small, pinpoint bleeding outside the injection site, leg pain, nausea and vomiting, or severe headaches and seizures. (mg)
