When did the development start from Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red And Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe? Some resumes on LinkedIn seem to reveal this, reporting surprising information.
According to data published by a level designer, Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red, the next chapter of the series set in Japan, is the project that started earlier: it seems that the work has begun at December 2020therefore almost two years ago.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage, officially presented with trailer and release period during the last Ubisoft Forward, instead saw the start of development at June 2021, reveals a senior game designer: rather quick timing, considering it will be released in 2023; perhaps preceded by a long pre-production period.
Almost simultaneously with Mirage, the development of Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe seems to have started, a different game with an almost horror atmosphere: something very experimental for the franchise, whose works would have begun to August 2021.
The fact that Codename Red is the project started earlier, understandably considering the Japanese setting, would confirm the hypothesis of a product more full-bodied and importantwhich not surprisingly seems to land only on next-gen platforms.
