The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired from the American multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) HIMARS city of Kremennaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). This was announced on Thursday, October 6, in the representative office of the region in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine.
“The shelling was recorded from the side of the armed formations of Ukraine,” the message says.
According to the center, four missiles were fired from the HIMARS MLRS at 15.00 (coincides with Moscow time).
Information about the victims and damage is being specified.
On October 5, Rodion Miroshnik, head of the LPR office in Moscow, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were pulling up new weapons supplied by NATO to the Svatovo region. Kremennaya also remains a dangerous area for strikes, he said.
On the same day, the Pentagon was informed that the United States had supplied Ukraine with 277mm GMLRS guided missiles for the HIMARS MLRS. However, the Kyiv regime insisted on the supply of ATACMS, since such missiles increase the firing range of American systems to 300 km.
On October 4, the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, noted that a serious line of defense was being built in the Kremennaya area.
On October 2, Bloomberg, citing sources in the administration of President Joe Biden, reported that the United States was ready to provide Ukraine with monthly financial assistance in the amount of $1.5 billion during the hostilities in the country. It is specified that the United States is waiting for the same actions from the European Union.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
