Straight to the track
There hasn’t even been time to recover from the spectacle of the first weekend in history held in Cremona and the first emotions for Danilo Petrucci’s statements that Superbike will be back on track this weekend for the third-to-last appointment of the 2024 world championship. While waiting to understand what the physical conditions of Toprak Razgatlioglu will be, with the Turk having almost completely missed the last two weekends after the bad fall in FP2 at Magny-Cours, Superbike will in the meantime land in Spain, and more precisely on the circuit of Aragon.
The fight for the title
Just like Italy and Portugal, Spain is one of the three nations that host the most races within its borders in this calendar. In this respect, Spain itself boasts the ‘record’ for the greatest number of Rounds: after Catalunya and Aragon, expected this weekend, there will then be the Jerez de la Frontera circuit as the venue for the Spanish Round, the last appointment of the season. For now, in any case, the focus is all on Aragon, a track that this season also welcomed the MotoGP back after a year of absence and that could relaunch the title fight between Razgatlioglu and Bulega, the latter 13 points behind the BMW rider.
MotoGP also on the track, but…
MotoGP, which will once again run on the same weekend as Superbike. In this specific case, however, there will be no overlapping of schedules. In fact, the MotoGP will hold its Tests and Races in Indonesia, that is, in the early hours of the Italian morning. Consequently, for Superbike fans there will be more convenient times to be able to attend the various sessions on Sky Sport MotoGP and, on two occasions, also in clear on TV8.
