Apple is reportedly considering implementing an AI-based chatbot for iOS 18, bringing in external companies for support.
A few days ago, Apple's long-awaited WWDC 2024 was officially announced, with a start date of June 10.
During the event, among the various updates for the entire range of the company's products that will be presented, there will be iOS 18projected by many as the biggest update ever to the operating system, which will introduce the much-discussed artificial intelligence features intended for iPhone.
However, according to what was recently reported, in the next version of the operating system the company could do without including a proprietary chatbot along the lines of ChatGPT or Bard.
It seems that for this type of innovation the company will rely on external companies.

Mark Gurman, a renowned Bloomberg journalist known for his predictions on Cupertino's moves, indicates that during the June event the company could present a product in collaboration with companies such as Google, OpenAI and Baid,
These companies would be designated to implant their artificial intelligence technologies on devices such as iPhone and iPad.
Not long ago we saw the bitten apple logo combined with the names of these companies; unfortunately the details of the agreements are still limited, but what we know for sure is that artificial intelligence will be one of the cornerstones of WWDC24.
It should be noted that all of this is just speculation and that it is not unlikely that Apple will surprise us with a Siri update with AI capabilities to better compete with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and ChatGPT's voice assistant.
To all AI
In addition to the possible introduction of a chatbot similar to ChatGPT or Google Gemini, iOS 18 is expected to bring a number of design changes and new features.
The update could bring a home screen completely redesigned in its structure as recently reported.
Still on the main screen, Apple is reportedly working on improving Spotlight Search through the implementation of generative AI.
Also classic applications like Messages, Apple Music, Notes, Pages, Numbers, Keynote should be powered by machine learning.
To find out all the news from Apple, including possible new hardware such as the new AirPods, you will have to wait for the WWDC24 keynote on June 10th.
However, it is likely that further details on the moves of the large Californian company will emerge in the next two months.
