Andalusia sends an alert to all cell phones in the population of the Cádiz countryside due to “risk of flooding”

Those who reside or are currently close to the Cádiz countryside must have noticed how their cell phones began to emit a loud beep. This is an alert issued by the Andalusian Government in areas with a red notice due to the heavy rains, which are currently hitting only this part of the province of Cádiz.

The Government of Andalusia activated the ES-ALERT system just a few hours ago so that all mobile phones located in areas declared high risk due to the passage of DANA receive this message, asking them to exercise extreme caution “in the face of the risk of flooding due to the evolution of meteorology.

It is the first time that the Government uses this massive alert system for the population – identical to the one activated on Tuesday in Valencia – and which to date had only been used in drills, confirm sources from the Ministry of the Presidency.

DANA has hit the province of Cádiz especially hard, specifically the municipality of Jerez de la Frontera and its countryside, which in two hours has received 57 liters per square meter, between 12:00 and 14:00.
