Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted that Belgian star Eden Hazard, who has regained fitness after recovering from an injury, is unhappy because he did not get more time inside the “green rectangle” with the Royal Club, and despite that he maintains professionalism. He accepts what happens to him.
Ancelotti did not include Hazard’s name in Real’s starting lineup in his last six matches, while he kept him on the bench in the 2-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine in the fourth round of the Champions League.
The 30-year-old has regained his fitness, after suffering for two years from the curse of successive injuries, since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu, but he does not have the confidence of his Italian coach, who said last month that he preferred many other players over him.
“The player is not happy,” Ancelotti said at the press conference on the eve of the match against Rayo Vallecano, “Saturday”, in the 13th stage of La Liga.
“He has quality, trains well and deserves to get more minutes. He will get them. If he continues like this, if he has faith, he will play more.”
And he added, “It may be tomorrow or it may not be, the important thing is that he focuses, I feel sorry, because it is easy to put a non-professional player on the bench, but it is not,” referring to his professionalism and acceptance of the current situation.
Ancelotti recalled his time on the bench when he was a player in the ranks of AC Milan and his anger, saying, “I was angry with Fabio Capello, when he did not involve me in playing, but he was telling me that when I become a coach, I will understand it well.” And “Now.” I understand that very well.”
In the same context, Welshman Gareth Bale regained his fitness after two months of absence due to a tendon injury in his knee, but Ancelotti confirmed that he is not ready to join the squad this week, but the Welshman is expected to join his country in his international qualifications in the World Cup qualifiers. Against Belarus and Belgium.
“They will assess whether he is able to play or not,” the Italian coach added. It depends a lot on how the player feels.”
He concluded, stressing that Bale trained with the group for only two days and that “the team has a week to assess his condition, and neither of them will risk if he is not fit.”
