Merlin Properties Board of Directors has accepted the Ana Garcia Fau resignation As an independent counselor of the company with effects since April 1, as the SOCIMI has informed to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The real estate company explained that García Fau’s resignation is due to its decision to join other councils of administration of other traded companies “They would affect their time availability with Merlin.”
García Fau was appointed independent counselor of the SOCIMI in June 2014 and subsequently re -elected for the position five times, the last in May 2024.
Bachelor of Law and Business Administration and Management from ICADE, García Fau worked more than 20 years in companies such as McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, Telefónica and the Yell Group. In the latter, she was CEO for Spain, Latin America and the United States Hispanic market, among other positions.
During his professional stage in the Telefónica Group he held several executive responsibilities in TPI yellow pages and was a member of the Board of Directors of several of his subsidiaries.
García Fau is currently an independent counselor in companies quoted such as Gestamp, Cellnex and the Santalucía insurance group, and external advisor to the Cosentino Group. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Circle of Entrepreneurs.
She is also an independent counselor of JDE Peet’s, a company quoted in the Netherlands specialized in coffee and tea and non -executive president of Finerge, a Portuguese company owned by the Igneous and Ax Infrastructure Funds, which operates in the renewable energy sector.
