In the midst of the anger of fanatics and lackeys here, we repeatedly warned that there was overwhelming evidence that in just 38 months, López Obrador’s has become the worst government in history.
However —despite many ill-wishers— hard data and not a few specialists today confirm our hypothesis; halfway through, AMLO’s is confirmed as “a failed government.”
Failed in economic growth, employment, poverty and extreme poverty; in violence and deaths due to unbridled crime; failed in the greatest social tragedy with 600,000 deaths due to the pandemic and failed due to the epidemic of femicides, disappearances and murdered journalists.
And all this without taking into account that a good part of the national territory is in the hands of crime —without any control of the State—, and that in Mexico the criminal gangs own municipalities and state governments, in a kind of “narco-governments” but it is that a “narco-state”.
Curiously, the first to put the hard data on the table was Carlos Urzúa, López’s first secretary of the Treasury, who in an article for El Universal was devastating in warning of Obrador’s historic failure.
He said so: “During the first three years of the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the economy suffered the greatest setback recorded in the history of Mexico, for 90 years…
“This Monday (January 31, 2022) the Inegi released the official estimate of the growth that took place in 2021. That rebound that was expected, after the recession registered in 2020, was less than expected.
“And the bad news continues because growth between two and three percent is forecast for this year, so we will have to wait until 2023 to recover the level of production that was in 2018…”.
In the end, Urzúa asked: “How do you explain that deplorable performance?”
And so he responds: “The government simply let part of the country’s productive sector go bankrupt. An inexplicable mistake that explains part of the current nightmare.
In a few words, AMLO’s first secretary of the Treasury confirms that Obrador is the Mexican president of the century… yes, of the lost century in economics.
But there are also many Mexicans who refuse to believe the hard data that ratifies that AMLO’s is the worst government not only in economic matters, but in all areas.
For this reason, we resort to a brief review of the basic characteristics that define, according to those who know the subject, a “Failed State”.
1.- Uncontrolled economic crisis; inflation and unemployment.
Carlos Urzúa himself was in charge of explaining that in just three years, the López government suffered the greatest economic setback in 90 years, not counting galloping inflation and its impact on the poorest Mexicans.
2.- Political corruption.
It would be enough to enumerate the scandals of petty theft and the trafficking of the offspring and the presidential clique —and the official impunity—, to reach the conclusion that AMLO’s is the most corrupt government in history.
But the devastating hard fact is that in just 38 months, the López government has only tendered 10 percent of the work and public spending. In other words, 90 percent of the Mexicans’ money “dances” at the “corruption party” of López, his family and his criminal gang.
3.- High levels of crime.
If Mexicans are not outraged by the largest criminal balance in history with 120,000 violent deaths; 100 thousand disappeared; 10 thousand femicides, 800 massacres and an epidemic of robberies and assaults, in just 38 months of Government, then the citizens are blind, deaf and idiots.
Not counting the largest number of journalists killed in history and in the world; State crimes for which López must also pay.
4.- Inability of the State to provide basic services, such as health.
AMLO’s failure is appalling: 320,000 deaths from the pandemic, according to official figures, and 600,000, according to unofficial figures.
Yes, the greatest mortality after the Mexican Revolution; a tragedy caused by an ineffective, indolent and criminal government.
5.- State inability to provide basic services, such as education.
Education in Mexico has suffered in just three years one of the biggest lags in history, by canceling evaluation and exams. But in addition, in the pandemic a million children and young people dropped out of public education; the largest desertion in history and the century.
Or if you like, one in 20 children and young people dropped out of school in the López government. Another humanitarian tragedy.
6.- Judicial inefficiency.
The Mexican Judicial Power, like the Legislative Power, was trapped by the Obrador Government and only serves for presidential revenge.
The criminal gangs rule in a good part of the country, while only the enemies, adversaries and critics of the president go to prison and the best example of judicial failure is that of 54 journalists murdered in 38 months of AMLO’s administration, only five cases have been investigated.
7.- Loss of territorial control.
According to the United States Government, in Mexico 50 percent of the national territory is in the hands of organized crime.
So or more clearly that there is no government in Mexico and that the “bosses” are the criminal cartels.
8.- High levels of informality, poverty and extreme poverty.
At least 50 percent of employment in Mexico is known as “informal employment”; an activity that is stimulated by the federal government itself; the same one that has also created the highest levels of poor and extreme poor, with more than 10 million Mexicans displaced to that condition; the highest number of the century.
9.- Autocratic government, in the hands of a single man.
In Mexico the three Powers of the Union have died, there is no division of Powers and the Government is in the hands of a single man; that he decides and thinks. Democracy is experiencing the worst moment in history and of the century in Mexico.
10.- Absence of free elections.
The best example of the death of electoral democracy is the trap called “revocation of mandate”, which is nothing more than a design to kill the INE, which is the institution that guarantees electoral processes.
It is clear to them that López Obrador is the Mexican president of the century… yes, of the lost century for 130 million compatriots.
Will Mexicans react to impeach the worst president of the century?
