In recent days Fernando Alonso had publicly announced the arrival of his customized Aston Martin Valkyrie. The hypercar of the British brand produced in 150 units was donated to the Spanish Formula 1 driver who represents the spearhead of the F1 team of the English brand.
Alonso’s Custom Valkyrie
Like all limited edition models, Alonso’s Valkyrie has also been customized to make it one of a kind, with the Asturian having the support of Aston Martin’s Q division to meet his wishes. First of all, Alonso’s model has been finished in Aston Martin Racing Green paint, with custom graphics in contrasting AMR Satin Lime that emphasize the car’s aerodynamic elements. Carbon fiber is used extensively, both inside and outside the cockpit. Here we find Alonso’s logo, embroidered on the headrests, also in AMR Lime. The accelerator pedal is engraved with the number 14, the same that Alonso has used on his single-seaters since 2014, a tribute to the one used by the Spaniard in 1996 when he became world champion of karting. The pedal is also finished in red and made of anodized aluminum.
The Aston Martin racing car
“The Valkyrie is truly a Formula 1 car made for the road, – Fernando Alonso said on social media – with so much knowledge and technology drawn from all of Aston Martin’s experience on the track, and I can’t wait to try it,” said Alonso, who shared on social media his excitement at having this new hypercar in his garage. Aston Martin Valkyrie is equipped with an electrified V12 engine that sings almost like an F1 car. Thanks to a powertrain that can reach almost 11,100 rpm and a total power of 1,160 hp and 900 Nm, the result of the combination of the twelve-cylinder aspirated engine signed by Cosworth and an electric system developed by Rimac.
