Bodycam continues to amaze: recently released in early access on Steam, it is already a sort of phenomenon on the Valve store, and its presence at the Future Games Show 2024 was quite obvious: so let’s see the gameplay trailer of this particular almost photorealistic shooter.
Despite a rather limited production, Bodycam immediately managed to debut at the top of the global Steam chart, probably thanks to its truly impressive sightas at a quick glance it could also be mistaken for a real video.
In truth, the effect is constructed through filters and particular “fish eye” style shots which, by distorting the image, manage to mask the elements on the screen a little, giving the illusion of images that are extremely faithful to reality.
A truly impressive game, at first glance
In any case, you can’t say that it isn’t a visually impressive game, and this new trailer confirms it too.
The video shows further gameplay scenes taken from various moments, which confirm the preponderance of indoor settings and rather narrow spaces.
The particular effect given by the type of shot used, as the title of the game itself says, reproduces the style of footage recorded with bodycams of the police and it is something truly remarkable from an aesthetic point of view, even if it may be less functional on the gaming front.
