All-Russian test work (VPR) for schoolchildren and teachers will be postponed from spring to autumn due to COVID-19. This was announced on Tuesday, March 22, press office Rosobrnadzor.
“To prevent another increase in the number of cases, especially among children and adolescents, we decided to postpone this procedure (All-Russian screening work – Ed.). I note that those schools that have already conducted VPR will not write them again. It will be enough to correctly enter their results into the appropriate system, ”the press service quoted the head of the department, Anzor Muzaev, as saying.
It is now planned to carry out verification work from September 19 to October 24. The new schedule will be formed before September 5 this year.
As previously reported in Rosobrnadzor, about 7 million schoolchildren will write VPR this year. Year 11 students will write papers on history, geography, biology, chemistry, physics, and foreign languages - English, German or French.
In the fall, they also postpone the VPR, which should be held in computer form – foreign languages in grades 7, as well as history, biology, geography and social studies in grades 5-8.
Muzaev added that schools that have already conducted VPR will not write them again, it will be enough to enter their results into the appropriate system.
Rospotrebnadzor, in turn, today reported a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia. Over the past four weeks, it has decreased by 3.7 times. Meanwhile, the department emphasized that the incidence of COVID-19 in the Russian Federation still remains at a fairly high level.
In addition, on March 18, Russia noted a decrease in the level of herd immunity to coronavirus from 53.6% to 51.7%. Experts warn that this could have serious consequences, since an 85% herd immunity level is needed to defeat the infection.
A large-scale vaccination campaign continues in Russia. Citizens are vaccinated for free.
