Alfonso and Linda become grandparents at 37 and 38: the incredible story of a couple from Verona

Alfonso Tirotta and Linda Corpasi, originally from Verona, became grandparents at the very young ages of 37 and 38. Their firstborn, Asia, was born when they were just 18 years old

In a society like ours, increasingly characterised by a worrying decline in birth rates which reflects the widespread tendency to always postpone the possibility of becoming parents until later in life, the story of this newly-wed couplegrandparents It certainly represents an incredible exception.

The protagonists of this story are Alfonso Tirotta and the wife Linda Porcasi, respectively 37 and 38 years old, originally from House of the Oppiin the province of Verona. The two have just reached one of the most important milestones of their lives: they have, in fact, become grandparents of a beautiful child named Gabriel.

The story of Alfonso and Linda, who became grandparents before the age of 40

Interviewed by theArenathe very young couple of new grandparents told the story of the beginning of their love story. Alfonso and Linda met in 2004, when they were 16 and 17 years old respectively, during an evening at a disco. Just nine months later they became parents of their daughter Asiawho herself became a mother at the age of 19.

Grandfather Alfonso confessed:

“One evening, everyone gathered at our house, including my brothers, and they announced to me that Asia was expecting a baby. Everyone knew except me; they were afraid that I would react badly and, in fact, for a moment I felt angry towards Daniel, the father of the little one. After all, for me Asia was still little more than a child”.

Anger, however, soon turned into a wonderful feeling of love:

“Now I am a very happy man, even if I admit that having Asia at 17 took away the opportunity to live some of the adventures that you have when you are young. I welcome my nephew as a gift and I hope that his parents will mature and always support each other in difficult times, as Linda and I did”.

Alfonso then recalled the feelings that overwhelmed him, just 17 years old, at the news that he would soon become a father:

“The news of my daughter’s birth has turned our lives upside down, there’s no point in denying it. What I remember with most anxiety is my mother’s look, who questioned me along with the other family members, for not having been more responsible.”

After Asia, Alfonso and Linda had five years after a pair of twins, 14 years old today.

The story of Asia and Daniel

The story between the very young Asia and Daniel seems to almost simultaneously retrace the one experienced at the time by the girl’s parents. With the only difference that the two boys did not meet in a disco, but in a restaurant.

After the initial shock, Alfonso and Linda supported the future couple of parents as best they could:

“I made sure the kids had an apartment ready for when the little one was born and I encouraged them both to put aside some money, which is essential in the early years of the child.”.

Asia and Daniel are both workers: she in one pastry shop and he in apainting company. They immediately did everything they could to welcome their beloved child with dignity.
