First appearance on public roads for the new one Alfa Romeo Milan. Strictly camouflaged due to its red and black livery, the new B-segment SUV from the Arese car manufacturer can be admired more closely less than two months after its official debut: we recall in fact that the Biscione brand has made an appointment in Milan The next April 10th for the definitive reveal of the model. The tests therefore continue, also for the ICE version of the B-SUV.
Test for the ICE version
This is demonstrated by the fact that the last masked prototypes spotted on the road were equipped with a double rear exhaust pipe. Because we know that the new Milano will be the first 100% electric model from Alfa Romeo, but we are also aware of the fact that on some selected markets it will also be launched in a version with an internal combustion engine, clearly hybrid. Thanks to the e-CMP platformthe same one that is the basis of the Peugeot e-2008 and Jeep Avenger and which boasts such flexibility that it can accommodate electric engines as well as thermal ones.
Motor range
So a look at what is expected to be the Alfa Romeo Milano engine range. Before venturing into the electric variants, let's take a look at the rumors circulating about the ICE version of the model: under the bonnet there should be room for the Q4 Hybridthe system that the Stellantis group could also use on the future Jeep Avenger 4×4, composed of a 1.2 three-cylinder turbo petrol Miller cycle engine with 136 HP and 230 Nm combined with two electric units, one with around 30 kW (around 41 HP ) on the rear axle and a second 20 kW (28 HP) electric motor at the front, integrated into the dual-clutch gearbox designed in collaboration with Punch Powertrain; the total power should thus be 120 kW (163 HP).
Two electric versions
As for the full electric, however, which will complete the range together with one mild hybrid, we are talking about two different versions: an entry level one, with a powertrain capable of delivering 156 HP and a 54 kWh battery, and a more powerful one with 240 HP which will probably use the same unit as the Peugeot e-3008. In the case of full electrics, Q4 all-wheel drive should not be available, but only front-wheel drive. The range of the new Alfa Romeo Milano should be offered starting from a price less than 30,000 euros.
