The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated warnings on five islands of the Canary archipelago, orange level (significant risk) in the case of the island of The Palmin anticipation of the registration very abundant rains throughout this Monday.

In the case of La Palma, the orange warning will last throughout Monday. On the summits, in the east and west of the island, up to 100 liters per square meter can be reached in 12 hours. The Aemet has warned that the rains will especially affect the north and west during the first half of the day, and the eastern slope in the second half. In many cases, precipitation will go accompanied by strong storms.
The Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Emergencies, has declared a rain alert on the island of La Palma starting at 3:00 a.m. this Monday. In the rest of the islands, the Government maintains the pre-alert situation for rain, declared last Friday, November 15. The pre-alert for storms also remains in force throughout the archipelago, which was also declared on Friday.
