Alejandra Zavala fell short of qualifying for the 25-meter pistol final at the Paris Olympics.
The Mexican finished in 16th place, with an average of 9.667, 0.133 away from the first place, which was occupied by the Hungarian Veronika Major.
Previously, the Jalisco native failed to advance from the first stage of the Shooting Sport in the 10-meter pistol event.

It was at the Chateauroux Shooting Range where the 26-year-old athlete came in first place with a total of 464.4 points, an Olympic record.
The Swiss’s shots went from less to more, starting with 9.9, 10.6, 10.2, 10.7 and 10.6, confirming her crown as Tokyo 2020 champion.
Second place went to American Sagen Maddalena, while China’s Qiongyue Zhang completed the podium.
