The specialist in Logistic Warehouse Development and Distribution Parks, LPG, has launched today the Macroplaforma Logistics of 98,000 square meters developed for Alcampo in Illescas (Toledo) and which will be managed by ID Logistics.
This installation, capable of processing 100 million boxes a year at its 228 loading docks, has been designed to operate 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to manage the Distribution of products to 64 Alcampo hypermarkets in Spain, as well as the intelligent CFC warehouse already 114 supermarkets in Madrid.
The installation has 65,750 square meters dedicated to dry food, drug and perfumery products, 14,600 square meters for refrigerated products and 2,850 square meters for frozen, allocating the remaining area to fruits, vegetables and fish.
In addition, it incorporates an Avsorter, a Innovative Classification and Order Preparation System Designed by the Tolededana LMGroup company, which identifies and classifies the items in the defined location and guarantees a high quality order preparation. Its design allows to reach high speeds, space optimization, ergonomics and guarantees an agile and efficient flow.
The plant, which has a team of 60 Employees of Alcampo and 500 of ID Logistics, It will allow the supermarket chain to reduce the transport of goods by 450,000 kilometers.
