Al-Shehhi is the champion of the Mohammed bin Mansour Endurance Cup

The jockey Ahmed Saleh Al Shehhi was crowned on the “Catch Me Hippolyte” horse of the “Al Kamda” stables, as the champion of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endurance Cup for the private stables for a distance of 100 km, which was held at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba, under the guidance and support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The race was organized by the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba, in cooperation with the Equestrian and Racing Federation, and witnessed the participation of 127 jockeys from various equestrian stables in the country.
The champion managed to win after a strong performance in the four stages of the race, recording a time of 3:24:40 hours and an average speed of 29.31 km/h.
And the jockey Ibrahim Ali Sabeel came in second place on the “Ras Sidoctor” horse for Al Hazm 4 stables, with a time of 3:25:00 hours, while the jockey Abdullah Ali Al-Jahouri on the “Al Sis Amor” horse for the Enjaz Stables came in third, recording 3:26:39 minutes .
The race witnessed strong competition in all its stages, as the champion and runner-up alternated to occupy the first and second places, and with the fourth round, the competition was limited to the leaders without a new entry, before the champion Ahmed Al Shehhi snatched the title from his runner-up by 20 seconds, helped by the moderate pulse of the horse.

The winners were Musallam Al Ameri, General Manager of Emirates International Endurance Village, Mohammed Al Hadrami, Events Manager in the village, Abdul Rahman Al Rumaithi, village supervisor, Khalaf Salem Al Wahidi, representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abdullah Al Naqbi, representative of the Equestrian Federation, and Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the Racing Festival of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
For his part, Musallam Al Ameri, Director General of the Emirates Global Endurance Village at Al Wathba, valued the support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, for the races of Sheikh Mohammed bin Mansour bin Zayed and Sheikha Fatima bint Mansour bin Zayed, and for the great success that he achieved. Both races, both technically and organizationally.
Al-Amiri congratulated the winners of the first places, praising the commitment of the participants and their cooperation with the organizing committee in the success of the two races, and thanked everyone who participated, praising the technical levels provided by the jockeys.
Al-Amiri also praised the efforts made by the team during the preparation period for the two races, and the great work they did during the competitions.
Champion Ahmed Al Shehhi expressed his great happiness for winning the first place in the midst of this difficult and fierce competition from everyone. He added that the race was very special, and witnessed the participation of elite jockeys, which gave the race an exciting character, and therefore winning the title is a good thing.
