Al-Sharjah and Shabab Al-Ahly won the first round of the semi-finals of the Strong Hand League, where “Al-Malik” succeeded in defeating Maliha 35-22, in the match that brought together the two teams, in the Sharjah Club hall, and the first half ended in favor of the landowner 15-8, while Shabab Al-Ahly prevailed. They beat Al Ain 30-25, in the match that was held in the Al Fursan Hall, and the first half ended in favor of the hosts 13-12.
The return round will be held on Tuesday, to determine the two sides of the league final, when Maliha hosts its rival, Sharjah, and has no choice but to win, while a draw is enough for Sharjah to advance to the final, and this applies to Al Ain, which hosts Shabab Al Ahly.
Regarding the consolation centers, Al-Jazira won over Al-Nasr 25-23 in Al-Wasl Hall, and Dibba Al-Hisn defeated Al-Wasl 33-31 in Al-Bataeh Hall. Al-Jazira will meet with Dibba Al-Hisn for fifth place, and Al-Wasl will meet with Al-Nasr for seventh place next Friday.
It is noteworthy that the league will return to its old system of two rounds, starting next season, after the decision of the Federation’s General Assembly at the last meeting by a majority of votes.
