The US holding wants to invest in other clubs and according to the Equipe it would have made an offer for the historic transalpine club
Genoa – After Genoa, the Americans of 777 Partners aim forpurchase of other clubs in Europe and in the world. The Miami-based holding company would be in talks to acquire Red Star Fc, the historic Parisian club founded in 1897 by Jules Rimet and currently in the third French series.
To give the news is the Equipe: the US group, owner of the Grifone, would have offered 9 million euros. The president of the Parisian club, Patrice Haddad, did not reject the proposal and did not deny the existence of the negotiation which therefore continues.
Already in recent months the managers of 777 Partners had exposed their intention to buy other clubs for create a Red Bull-style timeshare. The entry into European football took place through the purchase of a minority stake in Sevilla. Then the purchase of the majority of Genoa, concluded last November 15th, while in recent months there have been rumors of possible interests for another French club, Saint Etienne and for the Brazilians of Vasco da Gama.
