The president of the Iranian regime, Masoud Pezeshkian, warned this Tuesday (1st) the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, not to enter into conflict with his country and said that the missile attack against Israel that took place today was aimed at “ achieve peace” in the region.
“This is just part of our power. Don’t enter into conflict with Iran”, advised Pezeshkian, on the social network X, as reported by EFE, shortly after his country launched the ballistic missile attack against Israel.
The Iranian leader guaranteed that the attack was “legitimate”, and that it occurred in response to “aggressions by the Zionist regime”. According to Pezeshkian, the attack aims to “achieve peace and security for Iran and the region.”
“Netanyahu must know that Iran is not belligerent, but is firmly opposed to any threat,” said Pezeshkian, who took office at the end of July.
“This action was in defense of the interests and citizens of Iran,” insisted the member of the Islamic regime that supports several terrorist groups.
Pezeshkian won early presidential elections in July with a message of rapprochement with the West, but was limited by events such as the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran during his inauguration, among other episodes.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard launched a missile attack against Israel this Tuesday, in response to the deaths of Ismail Haniyeh, who was the leader of Hamas, and the now former head of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah.
“We warn that if the Zionist regime responds militarily to this operation, it will be counterattacked with greater force,” Iran’s Revolutionary Guards added.
Iran’s Mission to the UN, in a statement, considered the attack a “legal, rational and legitimate response to the terrorist acts of the Zionist regime against Iranian citizens and interests and for infringing the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic.”
