Candidate for mayor of SP declares that he “doesn’t know” whether the people will forgive the governor in the next elections for supporting Ricardo Nunes
The candidate for Mayor of São Paulo Pablo Marcal (PRTB) stated this Tuesday (October 1, 2024) that the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), is with “overweight” and that the food may be “getting in the way of his decision making”in reference to support for the mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) in the electoral race.
“I’m a guy who doesn’t stop, unlike Tarcísio who is overweight, I’m a sportsman. I even gave him this touch, so he could stop eating McDonalds, stop eating this type of food that is even getting in the way of his decision making.”he said.
The statement was made in an interview with journalists called by Marçal to announce 2 women who will be in his administration, if elected as mayor of the capital of São Paulo.
Former volleyball world champion and player Patricia Borges will head the Sports Secretariat, while Cenele Nunes, the governor’s former Economy Secretary Ronaldo Caiado (União Brasil-GO), will command the Secretariat of Management and Fiscal Responsibility in the eventual government.
Marçal was asked about a statement by Tarcísio de Freitas this Tuesday (1st.Oct). The governor stated, alongside Nunes, that “prefer a guy who doesn’t seal, works”.
“When he says ‘I prefer one [não] sealer’, I can be a sealer, I don’t have public money like him [Tarcísio]I don’t have a scheme like that of so many people. You have to seal it to attract attention. Do what? Now, if he likes a hard-working guy, I doubt that if he and Nunes get together they will work harder than me”, stated the PRTB candidate.
Marcal highlighted that “no problem” with the current governor of the State and who respects him, but who could not remain without giving an answer.
“Tarcísio, you are forgiven for this terrible option. I don’t know if people will forgive. I don’t know if he can get going in the next election by doing what he’s doing. It’s a discomfort. I feel uncomfortable here. Everyone stays, because we like Tarcísio.”
Pablo Marçal also said that he made an agreement with the former minister of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in this election: if you are not going to support him, “Do not touch” in your name.
“You are a guy with whom we will govern together. It’s going to be a duo ‘from Goiás and Rio’ playing horror in São Paulo. Count on me. Rest in peace because your candidate will finish the election in 3rd place and we will forgive you on Sunday”, he stated.
