AESAN expands the food alert by the presence of Salmonella in Torreznos from Spain

On March 21, the Spanish Food Security and Nutrition Agency (AESAN) received a notification from the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha about the presence of Salmonella In Torreznos of Frit Ravich and Sun Snacks brands. As an extension of the information, the production company has communicated this March 27 that expands the withdrawal to new lots of all brands, and new brands, whose products have been distributed throughout the national territory.

The alert has been communicated, again, through the COORDINATED INFORMATION EXCHANGE SYSTEM (Sciri). Thus, with this new information, the products involved in the alert would be the following:

  • Pork chicharricos Barbacoa 50 g of the Frit Ravich brand.
  • TORREZNOS BARBACOA TORN 90 g of the Sun Snacks brand.
  • Pork chicharricos Barbacoa 100g of the Spar brand.
  • TORREZNOS BARBACOA 100G flavor of the Alteza brand.
  • TORREZNOS BARBACOA 100G TORNA OF THE CARREFOUR SENSATION BRAND.
  • BARBACOA100G flavor chicharricos of the Auchan brand.

New brands:

  • Pork chicharricos barbecue flavor 100 g of the brand Aperitas Tapa
  • BBQ 50 g chicharricos of the Aperitas Tapa brand
  • Chips Pork Chips 60 g of the Aperitas Cap brand
  • Torreznos Barbacoa 50 g of the Pomys brand

AESAN recommends people who have products affected by this alert at home, refrain from consuming them.

In the case of having consumed any of the products of the affected lots and presenting some symptomatology compatible with salmonellosis (mainly diarrhea and / or vomiting accompanied by fever and headache) it is recommended to go to a health center.
