Catalonia and the province of Castellón are on orange alert (significant risk) for rains of up to 50 liters per square meter in one hour and strong storms that may be accompanied by hail and are also under warning for precipitation Aragón and Extremadura, with yellow level ( risk for certain activities).
The orange alert will remain in Catalonia until noon and in the province of Castellón until 9 a.m., according to the predictions of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
On the northern coast of Tarragona, up to 50 liters per square meter may accumulate in one hour and in the twelve-hour period up to 150 liters per square meter and these quantities are also expected in the pre-coastal and southern coastal area of the province.
In the northern interior and northern coast of Castellón (Valencian Community), the rains will accumulate 40 liters per square meter in one hour, although they will be irregular and nearby towns could have very different accumulations.
In the twelve-hour period, up to 100 liters per square meter will be collected in Castellón in areas of the interior and northern coast and also on the coast and pre-coastal of Barcelona.
The north of Cáceres and the lower Aragón area of Teruel are also under warning for heavy rains although the risk level is lower, yellow.
