The Ministry of Transport, Renfe and Adif have given up “normalized” for this Monday train traffic for Cercanías and High Speed between the Madrid Atocha station, the Valencia Community and Murcia after the new railway chaos which caused a double event this Saturday, on the one hand, the presence of a man who threatened to jump onto the road and forced to stop several high-speed and Cercanías lines and another even more serious one, the train derailment in the tunnel between Chamartín and Atocha that affected all traffic leaving or arriving at the latter from Levante. In total, Renfe calculates about 13,700 people have been affected due to delays that this Sunday still reached almost two hours but with a progressive reduction as the hours progressed and due to cancellation of trains from both Renfe, Ouigo and Iryo. The Italian company solved this Saturday by chartering buses from Alicante, the French company changed the starting point from Chamartín and the Spanish company finished relocating its passengers this Sunday with two additional trains and other “alternative” means.
