In the wake of everything that’s happening inside Activision Blizzard, the employees of this company finally decided to start the process that would allow them to unionize. According to information from The Washington Post, Several study workers have already confirmed on social networks the receipt and signing of the authorization that would start this process, with which they would seek to form a union through the Communications Workers of America.
Richard Hoeg, lawyer and podcast host Virtual Legality, explained how this whole process would work Eurogamer:
“Under the National Labor Relations Act, employees have the right to bargain collectively through a union if the majority of employees agree.
In most cases, this is done by secret ballot (many will recall from the recent Amazon case), but before determining whether such a vote is necessary, the law requires that 30% of the employees who would be subject to such a union do so. ask. We generally refer to such petitions as ‘union letters’ or ‘union authorization letters’, and it appears that potential union organizers within Activision have distributed those letters to be signed (or not) today. “
Additionally, the group ABK Worker’s Alliance will be carrying out a strike as well as the publication of a crowdfunding on the site GoFundMe, which aims to create a monetary fund to support all workers who may be affected by this demonstration. At the time of writing, this petition has about $ 90,000 raised with a goal of $ 1 million.
Today, the ABK Worker’s Alliance announces the initiation of its strike. We encourage our peers in the Game Industry to stand with us in creating lasting change. For those who wish to join in solidarity, please consider donating to our Strike Fund.https://t.co/IauGyxuLYG

It is also important to remember that on December 20, several state treasurers of the USA will be meeting with the Activision Blizzard Board of Directors to demand solutions from them. In case these government officials do not agree with these proposals, then they will begin to intervene directly with the finances of the study, so things are going to get really ugly for the pockets of Activision Blizzard.
Editor’s note: Activision Blizzard is taking time to offer solutions to its employees, and by now, it was like Bobby Kotick had been fired from his position as CEO, and we had some kind of statement about it. Instead, we’ve just had silence but sooner or later the company will need to do something to address all of these issues.
