Abdullah bin Zayed meets the Prime Minister of Singapore

Today, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with His Excellency Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.

His Highness congratulated His Excellency Lawrence Wong on his assumption of the position of Prime Minister of Singapore, expressing his wishes of success and prosperity for his country and the friendly people of Singapore.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Lawrence Wong discussed a number of files related to bilateral relations and the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

The talks touched on ways to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including economic, trade, investment, tourism, energy, education and climate.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore welcomed the visit of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the accompanying delegation, praising the strong relations between the two countries.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen bridges of cooperation and partnership with the Republic of Singapore in all fields in a way that supports the two countries’ development visions and aspirations to achieve sustainable economic prosperity.

His Highness pointed out that the decision of the two friendly countries to upgrade their bilateral relationship to the level of comprehensive partnership in 2019 strengthened the strength and durability of this relationship and resulted in continuous growth and development in the paths of joint cooperation in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and their peoples.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional and international developments and developments in the situation in the Middle East region, especially in the Gaza Strip, and its humanitarian repercussions.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Jamal Abdullah Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, and His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Commercial Affairs.
