The Tenerife team, located in the Canary Islands, considered that it always seeks to commit to its role for a more inclusive society, so this initiative came from the latter’s Department of Sports Inclusion and Disability, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Artami Rodriguez, coordinator of the Sports Inclusion and Disability Department in Tenerife, said: “We want to raise awareness among the public to show that through small actions like these, we can collaborate in helping to improve the lives of people with disabilities, to make them easier, more accessible and more inclusive, and we have all contributed.” By remaining silent so that the penalty kick taker can know where she is on the field, and so that her guide dog does not feel nervous.”
