In the last few hours it has emerged a rumor about Assassin’s Creed Invictuswhich would have revealed some previously unpublished details. Of course, it is right to point out that nothing is confirmed, so everything should be taken with due caution, pending the official presentation by the publisher Ubisoft.
The deep throat of the case, however, is Jonathan, who in the recent past revealed some details, later confirmed, of Assassin’s Creed Shadowsdemonstrating that you have some contact within the development team (or with someone connected to it).
The indiscretion
In any case, according to what Jonathan said, Assassin’s Creed Invictus, which is known for its multiplayer nature, “will be a sort of “Fall Guys”: 16 players (for now) competing in different heats in different “games”.
Among the games we find a team deathmatch, another in which everyone plays for themselves and a speed race where you have to reach glowing points scattered around the map.
If you qualify for the next round, you can choose character powers that will be used in the final competition.
There are two confirmed characters: Ezio and Cesare Borgia.
The gameplay will be very arcade-like, with shots having no real impact and even a “bubble” shield like in Smash Bros.
The camera will be quite far away from the characters, making them appear small.
The maps will be taken from the old games. There will be Baghdad (Mirage), Japan (Shadows), a map set in an island paradise (probably Black Flag) and… Pompeii (with rising lava).”
That said, Assassin’s Creed Invictus remains largely a mystery. Ubisoft announced it without providing any details, not even when it will officially talk about it again. We’ll probably learn more after the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the next main entry in the series.
