A new kindergarten for 310 pupils has been opened in the Ryabinovka microdistrict in Omsk. The ceremony took place on March 4 with the participation of Governor Alexander Burkov and Mayor Sergei Shelest.
“I learned about this construction site in 2018. It was an abandoned facility. We began to look for funds to resume work. <...> As a result, it was completed and now it will bring joy to children, educators and, of course, parents. We really wanted to open this kindergarten as soon as possible, and we managed to do it by March 8, ”quotes the governor of the news agency “OMSKREGION”.
The governor also thanked the previous mayor, Oksana Fadina, who held planning meetings at the complex facility and “made a lot of effort” to complete it.
The preschool will become the third branch of Kindergarten No. 119 in Omsk. It will form 18 groups, of which four will be nurseries, writes news agency “City55”.
The kindergarten began to be built in 2015. The deadlines for completion of works have been repeatedly postponed due to the bankruptcy of the developer and violations during construction. The building was put into operation on February 1, 2022. It is noted that the launch of the institution was scheduled for June 1, but the deadlines were shifted.
According to the mayor, now six kindergartens are being prepared for opening in Omsk. In total, this year it is planned to provide 1.4 thousand places for preschoolers in the city.
