The ASantander town hall will participate this Wednesday and Thursday in the XXV meeting of the Spanish Network of Intercultural Cities (RECI)which will be held at the Aiete Palace in San Sebastián, and will bring together representatives from 35 cities committed to the management of cultural diversity based on interculturality. The RECI is a state network, created at the initiative of the Intercultural Cities program of the Council of Europe, which currently comprises 25 cities that have intercultural programs and initiatives.
The purpose of the appointment is “explore the potential of diversity, reinforcing coexistence and stimulating creativity”as explained by the San Sebastian City Council. The one in Aiete will be the second RECI meeting of 2024, and the 25th of the total in-person meetings, which will bring together 35 participants representing the cities of Barakaldo, Barcelona, Bilbao, Cartagena, Castelló de la Plana, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Getxo, Logroño, Manlleu, Pamplona, Salt, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Santander, Zaragoza and the Tenerife Cabildo.
