The National Police have arrested a man in Alcorcón as the alleged perpetrator of two robberies perpetrated in two pharmacies of the Madrid municipality on the same day, as reported by the Madrid Police Headquarters in a statement this Tuesday.
The events occurred on November 11. The first robbery occurred early in the morning, when an individual entered a pharmacy hiding his face and covering his head with a cap. After intimidating employees showing a gun and a knifetook the money from the cash register, several medications and left.
Later, around 6:45 p.m., another robbery was committed at a second pharmacy located just over a kilometer away from the first. The perpetrator again threatened the employees with a knife and a gun –which turned out to be simulated– to finally get hold of medicines and the money from the boxes.
Arrested the next day
The authorities began an investigation to locate the suspect of committing the two robberies, who was detected to be the same due to similarities in the modus operandi of both events. Thus, the Police’s special search device culminated in the arrest of a man the next day, since Their physical characteristics matched with those of the author of the facts.
After identifying him and searching him, the police found several items of clothing inside the sports bag he was carrying, which also matched those the robber was wearing at the time of committing the robberies. Furthermore, he carried on his belt a simulated pistolas well as a knife with a punch hidden in his forearm.
For all these reasons, this man was arrested as allegedly responsible for two crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, and he has already been brought to justice.
