VKontakte has created a new project in honor of the 225th anniversary of the Russian writer Alexander Pushkin. Network users now have the opportunity to listen to the poet’s works performed by artists Evgeny Schwartz, Anya Chipovskaya and Kai Goetz. The writer’s poems were performed by the actors of the film “The Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin”, which will be released in 2025. These include famous lines from the works “It’s time, my friend, it’s time,” “Winter Morning,” “Keep Me, My Talisman,” and “The Prophet.” Clips from the artists are presented in the community of the film company “Central Partnership”, and the full program of events and activities for the poet’s anniversary is in “Culture VKontakte”.
In addition, VKontakte becomes the official social network of the Red Square book festival. As part of the program, as noted, social network users will see the choral concert “Pushkin’s Wreath” and a large number of online lectures and videos about important places for the writer. Also in “VK Music” there will be short retellings of works from the school curriculum.
VKontakte should also show a lot from the St. Petersburg festival. Pushkin’s space”. In particular, we are talking about clips and interviews about the poet’s work. Then the Sovremennik Theater launches a marathon of clips dedicated to the writer. Meanwhile, the St. Petersburg metro will present a recording of the “Literary Living Room” project, which will take viewers to the Pushkinskaya station.
In honor of the poet’s anniversary, users of the social network also have the opportunity to test their language knowledge in a quiz from “Total Dictation”. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Tsarskoe Selo, where he got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin, and the recreated halls of the second floor of the Lyceum named after the poet in the state reserve. The Russian leader arrived in Tsarskoe Selo at night, after a long meeting with the heads of world news agencies as part of the SPIEF.
