A Lamborghini blown up in the name of art

Literally blow one up Lamborghini Huracan in the name of art. For some it might seem madness, for others, like the well-known artist Shloms, an expressive form that has allowed realize 999 exclusive NFTs which will be partly sold and partly used for another project. Victim of this “art attack” was a Huracan that the creative blew up with special explosive charges, recording the event in a video that was posted on social channels.

The work literally went up in smoke allowed to generate 888 videos that meticulously capture some parts of the supercar of Sant’Agata Bolognese, which will be available as NFT and can be purchased in an online auction while the other 111 clips, identified as NFT “$ CAR”, will be used by the team that oversaw this project to carry out others in the future. As explained by Shloms, buyers will get a digital certificate and not the physical part of the car that is represented by the NFT, even if the remains of the Lamborghini Huracan have been recovered and are currently in storage. The idea seems to be to exhibit them in a gallery or other place at a later time.

The offers on NFTs will start at 0.01 Ether each, about $ 26, but to recover the money needed to buy and destroy a Lamborghini Huracan, which costs more than € 200,000, the artist will need to sell his NFTs to a much higher price. Shl0ms said the proceeds from the NFT sale will be used to fund future public art installations. Although the initiative may seem extravagant and out of place, the artist said that it took several weeks of testing to ensure that the explosion of the Lamborghini took place in a meticulous and precise way to the point of not ruining the parts of the car too much. with a test car that has been tweaked to figure out where exactly to place the charges. NFT technology is also becoming more and more common in the automotive world. Suffice it to say that the new Alfa Romeo Tonale is equipped with a digital certificate based on this system which will allow the creation of a unique and non-modifiable register, in which the car data can be entered and which will be used especially in the event of a resale.
