A judge imputes two police officers accused by Nacho Cano to coercion several of his fellows

The Court of Instruction No. 38 of Madrid has summoned to declare as investigated two national police who participated in the arrest of Nacho Cano last July. As stated in the providence to which Eldiario.es has had access, both agents have been charged with an alleged crime of coercion and must appear on February 27.

The defense of the music producer clarifies to this newspaper that it is the police who “were in the attestation in which he coerced, intimidated and violated the fundamental rights of the fellows that were being formed in Spain.”

The citation responds to the complaint that seventeen Mexican dancers who worked for Nacho Cano interposed the police for coercion and documentary falsehood when questioned within the framework of the investigation against the former member of Mecano. It seeks to check if the producer had young artists acting as false fellows in his musical Malinche, and if he committed a crime against the rights of foreigners.

It was on June 17 when twelve agents interrupted in the church located in Madrid in which the dancers were rehearsing. There they were told that a labor inspection was going to be carried out and subsequently took them to the police station for several hours to ask them about their conditions, which, according to the complainants, was already irregular.

Nacho Cano, on the other hand, was arrested on July 9 and transferred to police units for alleged crimes against workers’ rights and favoring illegal immigration. The former member of Mecano was released that same day and did not have to declare again until January 13, where he defended that he was dedicated to the “artistic part” of Malinche. He also maintained that the investigation is the result of an operation against him for “supporting Isabel Díaz Ayuso” and launched a message to the president of the Government Pedro Sánchez: “You are going for me, but I will not fall.”
