For the first time in years, the number of unwanted foreigners leaving the Netherlands is increasing. In 2023, more than 10,000 people had to leave the Netherlands because they did not have or did not receive a residence permit. This mainly concerns Algerians, Moroccans and Nigerians. However, 2,700 airline tickets had to be canceled again.
