A group of Chinese hackers who intervened in the Verizon system They targeted phones used by Donald Trump and the vice presidential candidate in his candidacy, JD Vance, as reported this Friday by the ‘New York Times’, citing people familiar.
The Republican candidate’s campaign was informed earlier this week that the phone numbers of Trump and his number two have been tracking objects by cybercriminals who could have accessed the terminals to collect information.
The newspaper said investigators were working to determine what communications, if any, were collected. The Trump campaign learned this week that Trump and Vance were among a number of people inside and outside the Government whose phone numbers were infiltrated of Verizon phone systems.
