Nintendo is preparing to shake the foundations of the history of The Legend of Zelda with the imminent release of a new book for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Scheduled for release in Japan on August 30th, “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Master Works” is an artbook that will include an updated timeline taking into account the latest entry in the series.
This announcement has the Zelda community on edge, especially those who are deeply passionate about Hyrule’s history. The book’s official description, translated from Japanese, indicates that she will deliver “a new story of Hyrule based on the latest games released at the time of production.” This sentence alone has sparked a frenzy among fans, eager to see how their theories will hold up to the official choices.

A point of great interest is how the book will integrate the events of Ocarina of Timeespecially since the conflict with Ganondorf mentioned in Tears of the Kingdom it links directly to it. Fans are particularly excited to discover information regarding the location of the War of Imprisonment in the Zelda timeline.
Previews and rough translations of the book’s contents have revealed intriguing details, such as the identity of the temple containing Ganondorf’s mummified remains at the start of the game, which is in fact the Temple of Light. Such revelations are already prompting the community to prepare for significant adjustments to their theories.
The book should also arrive in Italian: the previous one in the same line was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Creating a Champion, and this was released in Italian. Everything therefore gives us hope that we will also be able to get our hands on an Italian edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Master Works.
