Caring Russians saved a blind and deaf raccoon in Abrau-Durso. About it reports portal “Kuban 24”.
It turned out that the animal was found in a locked barn, where it spent several days without food in complete darkness. It turned out that the owner of the house moved into an apartment, and the raccoon remained locked in the mentioned room, without access to fresh air and light. Local villagers told volunteer Elena Chistova from Anapa about this.
The animal rights activist came to the village to pick up the animal, which was very thin and frightened. According to the woman, the raccoon did not die of starvation only because its neighbors fed it.
As a result, the volunteer took the raccoon to her shelter in Anapa and named him Slavik. It took a whole year to treat and restore the animal due to fear. Neighbors said that the previous owners set dogs on him. The raccoon failed to regain his sight and hearing, but otherwise he feels well, began to trust people and became attached to his new owners.
Earlier in May, Russians also rescued a roe deer in Omsk.
