The government of St. Petersburg has introduced compulsory vaccination against coronavirus for all citizens over 60 years old, as well as people with chronic diseases. The corresponding decree the chief sanitary doctor, head of the department of Rospotrebnadzor in St. Petersburg Natalia Bashketova was published on Tuesday, November 9.
It is noted that the document makes changes to the resolution of the sanitary doctor of St. Petersburg dated October 12, 2021. The new decree expands the list of those who must be vaccinated, writes “Gazeta.Ru“. According to him, employers must ensure that at least 80% of employees in a number of areas are vaccinated against COVID-19. This list includes workers in such spheres as industrial production, processing production, construction, transport and transport infrastructure.
Also, compulsory vaccination is necessary for people, including those with diseases of the broncho-pulmonary system, cardiovascular system, endocrine system – diabetes, obesity.
The list of those affected by compulsory vaccination also added adult students who are practicing outside educational organizations.
Both of these groups of people must be vaccinated with the first component or single-component vaccine by December 15, and the second component by January 15, 2022.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with members of the Security Council the results of non-working days in the country. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, in turn, stressed that the situation with COVID-19 in Russia was reversed due to non-working days. The Minister of Health also noted the efficiency of the introduced QR codes.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that almost 80 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been delivered to Russian regions. According to him, measures to combat infection in the country have been strengthened.
Against the background of a worsening epidemiological situation, the Russian authorities are urging citizens to get vaccinated in order to protect their health and take care of their loved ones. Citizens are vaccinated for free. Five vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, which became the first vaccine against COVID-19 in the Russian Federation and the world, as well as Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, EpiVacCorona-N and KoviVak.
