International the International Criminal Court (ICC) is beginning to investigate whether the Venezuelan regime committed crimes against humanity in 2017. The President of Venezuela reports Nicolas Maduro and the ICC Prosecutor Kamir Khan.
The Maduro administration responded very strongly to the massive anti-government protests in 2017, when the country was undergoing a constitutional crisis.
Maduro said Venezuela would respect Khan’s decision, although he did not agree. Khan, for his part, asked for space to do his job.
