On the first anniversary of the death of Concha Velasco, Valladolid has paid tribute to the artist, to pay tribute to her career and connection with her hometown, through an augmented reality route, which includes 3D recreations, videos, audios and 360° tours.
The mayor of Valladolid, Jesús Julio Carnero, has given Concha Velasco’s family a facsimile of the condolence book of the tribute paid to him on the day of his funeraland in the hours prior to it, both Valladolid residents and citizens arriving from different points of Spain to the city.
On the route presented, through the “innovative” augmented reality technology, Valladolid residents and tourists will have the opportunity to tour theThe “most emblematic” places in the city related to the life of Concha Velasco, with the aim of highlighting the actress’s milestones and reliving the “key” moments of her career and personal history.
The project has been developed through an “innovative” technological proposal that uses QR codes placed “strategically” at various “key” points of Valladolid, as reported by the Valladolid City Council through a statement.
In this way all users will be able to scan these codes and thus access a series of interactive experienceswhich include 3D recreations, videos, audios and 360º tours. “These experiences will narrate the life of Concha Velasco and highlight her deep connection with the city where she grew up, to allow users to discover the most emblematic moments of her career and her relationship with Valladolid,” said Carnero.
Each of the scenarios has been carefully designed in 3D, in which different lighting phases, textures and special effects to recreate with the “greatest possible fidelity” the “most significant” environments and moments of his career. And in that sense, the mayor added, “this attention to detail will guarantee a visually striking and realistic experience, which will transport the viewer to the key places and times in the artist’s life, achieving total immersion in her story.”
For his part, Concha Velasco’s son Manuel Velasco has encouraged those present to record a “symbolic” audio to commemorate this day, as a kind of “sound capsule” of December 1, 2024 on which this route was inaugurated. In this sense, Manuel Velasco has asked all the people from Valladolid who accompanied him at the event to shout ‘Chiti, we love you’, name with which the whole family called the interpreter. In this way, the message will be recorded and when the QR of the first stop is scanned it will be played.
